The Minnkota all-electric Bolt has made a splash traveling to co-ops and communities all over the Minnkota service area this summer. Now, we want to invite the community to OUR house to celebrate electric transportation!
Along with our member cooperative Nodak Electric, we are hosting Plugged In to the Future – a free community event that will showcase local EV owners’ sweet rides, give a peek at West Fargo Public Schools’ all-electric school bus and provide an EV ride-along experience for those who haven’t yet had the thrill. Plus, Scheels will be offering an electric bike demonstration so you can try one out for yourself. How cool is that?
But wait, there’s more!
We’ll have folks onsite who can tell you how to get started with an EV of your own. Our local dealership Rydell will be there discussing new EV models, and Nodak representatives will explain how you can save with home charging incentives. Plus, the team from Drive Electric North Dakota will be driving their Tesla all the way from Bismarck to chat with people about the sunny future of EVs in the state.
BUT WAIT! THERE’S EVEN MORE!
Food trucks. FREE food trucks. The event starts around dinnertime, so feel free to grab some grub from one of our local favorites. We’ll be announcing the mouthwatering lineup as the event draws closer, so keep an eye on our Facebook event for updates.
And as if that wasn’t enough fun…
Stick around for an 8 p.m. outdoor showing of Back to the Future on a massive LED screen. We’ll have a few drive-in spots for those who show up at 5:30 p.m. Otherwise, bring your own lawn chair and cozy blankets to pull up a seat in our parking lot. Sorry – no grassy area for this one.
Don’t worry about bringing snacks, because we’ll provide the sweets you need!
I mean, cool cars, free food, and a classic movie under the stars? That sounds like my kind of summer night.
Please let us know you’re coming by registering for a free ticket on our Facebook event page.
If you’re an EV owner, send us a message to tell us what kind of wheels you’ll be bringing by. We’ll save a spot for you in our showcase. See you all Aug. 8!
